It can be very difficult to alter your reality when you are constantly around people who seem to always be negative.
It is very imperative to remain optimistic and to keep a positive mindset with in the presence of these types of people.
Once you become aware that your thoughts, feelings and how and what you speak bring to us everything that we experience in life, you begin to take your happiness pretty seriously.
Everything that you focus your attention on is responsible for the results that you have in your reality.
Give this a little thought…your relationships and the amount of love and respect you have, your abundance or lack thereof, your experiences, your health, and your opportunities are all a product of what you have created for yourself.
Sometimes there are people that we are around who just do not understand how their thoughts and words impact their lives or they are unwilling to change their negative mindset. They can’t help but complain, argue and fight, and just have a whoa me type of personality.
You do not have to deal with this type of negative energy. There are things that you can do when you have to share space with people who are just not positive.
Set Your Intentions
- Set the intention to surround yourself with positive, loving, supportive and kind people.
- Set the intention to have loving and respectful boundaries for myself.
- Intend to honor myself and to separate myself whenever I need some alone time.
- Set the intentions to find the positive in every situation no matter what the appearance may be.
Change Your Paradigms - Understand that you do not have to allow other people’s moods to alter your mood.
- It is not your job to spend time with those who are depressed and feeling down. You can be there for those you are close to but not at the expense of your own health.
- Just because the people you care about are unhappy does not mean that you have to be unhappy with them.
- You can control whether or not you allow negativity into your subconscious.
If you have some beliefs that need to be changed, work on changing them. You do not have to continue to believe what you have been programed to believe, especially if it is no longer serving you.
When changing your beliefs, use the same structure you use with the negative belief but just replace the negative words with positive words.
Example: (Negative): Whenever I’m around negative people, it affects my mood.
(Positive): Whenever I’m around negative people, I can control whether or not I allow it to affect my mood.
Protect Your Energy
- Seal your aura: this is a useful technique to ward off or seal out negative energy from places, things or people. There are a few ways to do this and I will share my favorite.
*Imagine your aura like a giant bubble surrounding your body.
*Now visualize a ray of white light penetrating through the top (crown) of your head. Begin breathing this light in with deep inhalations all the way down to your heat chakra.
*When you breathe out slowly, send the white light out through your heart and your hands filling up your aura with beautiful white light and positive energy.
*Keep breathing in the light and breathing it back out into the space around you inside of your bubble.
*After a few minutes, when you feel a sense of calmness and fulfillment, visualize the outside of your bubble becoming a hardened force field that will only allow positive energy to pass through and negative energy cannot even come close to it or pass through.
*Affirm that your aura is now sealed from negative energy with gratitude.
I recommend doing this process every morning when you wake up. If you forget to do it, just go ahead and do it as soon as you remember or you sense some negativity coming your way in any form.
If you are faced with someone who is negative, stay true to your truth and compassionate and understanding that it is not always easy in life and we were all negative thinkers at some point even if we are doing better in the present.
Not everyone is where we are in life. Still give these people love but don’t allow yourself to be pulled down into negativity with them.
If you practice being positive and vibrating on a positive level regularly, you will notice that not many negative people will be attracted to you. Remember like attracts like.
Negative and positive people cannot remain in each other’s presence long. It’s a Universal Law:)
